Saarburg Report
As you could have seen earlier, we've been to Saarburg in Germany to visit my auntie and uncle. And we had a lovely time there! We arrived on saturday afternoon and had some talk and drinks there with my auntie Edith and one of their daughters Barbara.
On Sunday we went for a walk in the woods. Later we went into town with auntie Edith and uncle John. And visited the famous Saarburg ruins.
Later that evening we had some drinks and some music.
Unfortunately, something went wrong with our digital cam on the last day, so here is a verbal report. On monday we went to Trier, one of the oldest cities of Germany and did a grand tour their with our lovely guide, aunt Edith. We saw old Roman structures like the Basilika, the Imperial Baths, the cathedral and the Porta Nigra.
After that we had a lovely lunch, did some shopping and went home.
In short, a lovely weekend and we're going to do it again (also to make the pics again!).

Daniël dat ben ik
Yes, indeed, my whole family gets on the net now! This is the personal webpage of my oldest nephew Daniël. Take a look and leave a message for him in the "Gastenboek".
Daniël dat ben ik
JA, mijn neefje zit op het internet. Heb er niet zoveel mee te doen gehad, maar het geeft me toch een "Oom Jan leert zijn neefje schaken gevoel". Mijn neef treedt in mijn voetsporen!!!!! Fan van Ajax, een mooie vrouw als plaatje en een internet pagina. Wat wil een oom nog meer? Nou dat van die politieagent worden, verontrust me :-)

Bowlingnight
On friday evening we've been going out in Hilversum. Just some bowling and beers. It was quite fun, although I wasn't too sportive by winning 6 of the 7 games (even had 5 strikes in 1 game!!!!).
But is was fun.39GJ0001.jpg

Sunday and work...
It's sunday and after a nice breakfase I went to the office to get some work done. I have two goals today at work. Playing and planning. The playing part is of course the most fun, the planning thing an absolute necessity.
Right now I'm playing, I´m tweaking a prototype website so that it will work tomorrow at an external presentation. It's quite cool, I learn things about iframes, etc..
The planning thing I'll do later or at home. Guess with some air now of other projects, I can finally start doing again what I'm hired for... making this company a smooth machine.

No stats on www.eyckenstein.com
Received an email from Checkstat.nl that the content of my site was the content of a business and so I am not entitled any more to their free stats. Guess the design worked, only I don't work with Eyckenstein (although Jola has ordered business cards:-) ). Have to look for another statistics provider.

Long time since last posting
So what have you been doing Jan?
Basically, working.
Jola is on a short holiday to her parents and I have been alone this week :-(
So, what do you do when you're alone? You make plans, plans for having dinner with long time not seen friends and some time for watching some DVDs for the 3rd or 4th time.
And what happened really? Work occupied all my time? Even in the evenings, and even last night. Timing-wise, it couldn't have been better. Jola away and I work.
But after one long day of working on thursday (from 9 am to 4.30 am) I am looking forward to the weekend (where as it looks like I'm going to work). To make this company a huge success, one sometimes has to sacrifice. But in this case, I'm more than willing to do that, sleeping I can always do when I'm 75 or so.
